Comments Policy

Comments are moderated to prevent spam and to make sure this blog remains a safe space. We reserve the right not to approve comments that are irrelevant or overtly offensive by our standards, as well as comments that make sweeping generalizations about groups of people or institutions [this includes comments like “all men are rapists”]. Some posts will discuss specific people, whether they are media and government figures or parties involved in assault cases. We welcome responsible critique of individual’s actions, but we will not approve comments that act only as personal insults. We recognize that discussions surrounding rape and assault can provoke strong emotions—and rightfully so. We just ask that everyone remain respectful. We value debate, but we will never approve comments that might prevent a survivor from feeling safe reading this site

If your comment does not appear immediately, please be patient. This blog is run by volunteers who also do a lot of other things for SAFER and in the rest of their lives. We check comments and approve them as often as we can.
