Campus Activist Mentoring Program (CAMP)
One-on-One Mentoring with an Experienced Campus Organizer
The Campus Activist Mentoring Program or CAMP is our free mentoring service that provides students with personal support from our Organizing Trainers. CAMP is an option for any student group who has sucessfully hosted a Weekend Organizing Training at their campus. Eligible student groups can have up to an hour a week of one-on-one advice via phone, e-mail, webcam or chat helping you with any of the following:
- Assess your campus' readiness to adopt prevention-focused sexual assault policies
- Strategize about how to gain allies and a critical mass of supporters
- Develop a complete and campus-specific list of demands for a revised sexual assault policy
- Brainstorm solutions to organizing roadblocks as they occur, including issues of turnout, coalition building and diversity
This service allows your organization, group or club to capitalize on the knowledge provided by our trainers while tailoring our support to your busy schedules and the specifics of your campus situation. Mentoring sessions may be especially helpful in difficult situations such as a large-scale media attack by an opposition group, a change in college leadership, or conflict between activists. Mentoring sessions are free of charge and there is no obligation to take any advice we give.
